A couple of weeks ago we were in Minnesota visiting family. Between graduation parties and my sister-in-law’s wedding I was able to to snag a few shots of this beautiful blouse I received from Zaful. I love to visit Minnesota in summer! Everything looks so pretty and green; it is hard to believe this place becomes such a winter wonderland for almost six months out of the year. On this day we went out to run some errands and take a little photoshoot at Thief River Falls’ charming train station and the river walk.
The blouse I am wearing is such a trendy piece, from the statement ruffled sleeves to it’s floral print, it is everything I want to wear this summer. I love how the floral print looks almost tropical, which is very in right now as we see fruit and leaf prints taking over the streets. It’s been fun to partner this blouse with different style clothes and creating different looks. Since it was hot when we were out in Thief River Falls I chose to pair the blouse with red tailored shorts, nude heels to lengthen my silhouette, and a black bag with studs, which I chose to add some edge to my girly romantic look.
I love tailored shorts! If you are a fan of the ladylike style like me, they are a perfect summer match. Tailored shorts can easily elevate your look and depending on your job’s dress code, can even be used at work. This type of shorts pairs well with flats and heels and it looks fabulous with blazers, silky or button up blouses. The closer I get to my 30’s the more I move away from denim shorts and invest in tailored ones, the perfect option to keep elegant on a hot day.
